Abstract:

To solve the problem that it is very hard if not impossible to select a designated target from a rotational symmetric ship formation with mere topological information of the target, a target selection algorithm is proposed based on the target's topology information and movement information. First, several structure cells are cut out from the target from a ship formation and the course information of the structure cells is defined in terms of the movement information of their three vertexes. Second, a normalization value that weighs the similarity of different structure cells can be given by combining this information with the topology information, and a designated target from a rotational symmetric ship formation can be selected by using the value. The simulations show that this method has better accuracy than the method of using mere topological information in selecting a designated target from a rotational symmetric ship formation.
