Abstract:

The processing of corrosion data is critical in the corrosion lifetime evaluation and corrosion prediction, because the data, which seem to have no evident correlation, involve all the corrosion information. It is important to establish a mathematical model with these data better. In this paper, the gray theory GM(1,1) model, the dynamic data bidirectional difference model and the power function model are established with the corrosion data which were obtained from the acetic acid type immersion test respectively. The result shows that the GM(1,1) model has relative good prediction accuracy and flexibility, the dynamic data bidirectional difference model has a good prediction accuracy for the neap floating data and a poor prediction accuracy for the sharp data, while the power function model is not suitable for the corrosion prediction because of its poor flexibility and accuracy.
