Abstract:

The automatic carrier landing guidance system is crucial for enhancing the effectiveness of naval operations. However, due to the singular nature of technical methods, equipment configuration, and communication links, the traditional automatic carrier landing guidance system exhibits a low fault tolerance, making it difficult to ensure flight safety during the landing process. To address the issues of low system reliability and safety, an in-depth functional hazard analysis and safety design requirements is conducted to optimize the system’s redundancy architecture. A multi-redundant measurement structure for guidance information is constructed based on redundant navigation technologies, while a multi-redundant calculation structure for guidance commands is built using link redundancy and redundant computers. Additionally, a multi-redundant decision-making safeguard structure is established by integrating various landing aids and monitoring equipment. Fault tree analysis is performed on the multi-redundant automatic landing guidance system, and the probability of dangerous failure per hour is evaluated to verify high reliability and safety of the system.

Key words: automatic carrier landing guidance, redundancy design, functional hazard analysis, probability of dangerous failure per hour, fault tree analysis
