Problem of Space and Time Matching in FDTD Algorithm and Research on Solving It

Abstract:

A problem in FDTD algorithm is brought forward, which is that the condition of convergence of iterations destroys the actual physical relation internal. Thus it induces the problem of space and time matching, and results in lower computational efficiency. A new FDTD algorithm is proposed in order to satisfy the physical relation internal and the convergence of iterations. With the algorithm, the computational efficiency and practicability of FDTD are enhanced. The simulations of propagation in one dimension multi-mediums are presented.
