Abstract: To get a good knowledge of the top-mounted diverterless inlet advanced in Ref.[1], the integrated flow field of inlet/fuselage is numerically studied. The investigation is mainly focused on the development of the boundary layer of the upper fuselage, the bump's capability in deviating the coming boundary flow and the characteristics of the inner flow. Compared with experimental data, the accuracy of the results obtained by two different grids is also analyzed. Results indicate that the 3-D bump studied here is efficient in deviating the coming boundary flow, especially the lower part. The transverse pressure gradient is the main impetus that deviates the boundary flow. The mass flow ratio has a remarkable influence on the performance of the bump. The ingested low energy flow decreases evidently with the decline of the mass flow ratio.
