Abstract:

A new simulation modelling method is presented, called the message driven method, according to the characteristics of discrete event simulation. After introducing the features and types of messages, a discussion is provided on the ways of receiving and identifying messages, and driving functions of messages to simulation systems. The executive structure of the message driven method is then given. A case of single service system is detailed at the end to illustrate the executive process of the message driven method.
