Abstract: By using foreign simulation and flight test technique for the time to roll and capture a 90° bank angle change, the fighter transitional agility maneuver and aileron control law for numerical calculation are designed. The roll agility matrices T RC90 and TA and mode characteristics in a steady horizontal turn are calculated at different altitudes, speeds and load factors for an aircraft. The relationship between transitional agility and flying qualities is discussed and analysed.
