ELASTOPLASTIC CONTACT PROBLEMS ANALYSIS WITH CONDENSATIONAL BOUNDARY ELEMENT METHOD

Abstract: In this paper, boundary integral equation for elastoplastic problem with implicit symmetry conditions is developed and applied to elastoplastic contact problems analysis. The coupled equation for iterative solution is established through contact conditions. By virtue of local nonlinearity of contact problems, a condensational procedure is employed to improve the efficiency of iterative solution, Based on quasi-linear, double iteration technique, the two-level coupled nonlinear problems are solved. A numerical example is also given to show the efficiency of the proposed method.
