STRESS INTENSITY FACTOR IN THE RIVET STIFFENED PLATE WITH ASYMMETRIC CRACKS

Abstract: The stress intensity factor(SIF) in the sheet of the riveted and uniformly spaced stringers with asymmetric carcks is calculated with regard to the following two types of crack location: craccks growing asymmetrically at two sides of the stringers or cracks growing asymmetrically between the stringers, similarly this calculation fits for the symmetric cracks ofsuch type.
