SIMULATION OF DISTORTED FLOW FIELD WITH HIGH TURBULENCE LEVEL

Abstract: In this paper, it is depicted that the "double-plate simulater" has been used to simulate successively a distorted flow field with high turbulence level of 2.87% and steady state pressure distortion index DC90 of 0.196. The effect of the distance between the two plates on the properties of simulated distortion flow field, such as average turbulence level, total pressure recovery, steady state distortion values and contour maps, and the function of each plate in the simulation of the distortion flow field are discussed. The principles of designing the "double-plate simulator" are given. The distortion properties of the flow field after the simulator are described.
