Abstract: This paper discusses the application of Least Square approximate inverse filtering techniques to Radar range sidelobe suppression. The method is illustrated by application to the design of a compensated non-coherent sidelobe suppression filter (SSF). The compensated non-coherent SSF of the 13-element Barker, code has been found. The -40 kHz to 40 kHz Doppler tolerence of the filter, under the conditions that the subpulse duration is equal to 0.7us and the peak sidelobe level is less than -30 dB, is obtained. Theoretical computations and experimental results indicate that the SSF we have implemented has much wider Doppler tolerence than Fihaczek-Golden-I SSF.
