THE ANALYSIS AND PREDICTION OF THE SPIN EQUILIBRIUM POINT OF MODERN AIRCRAFTS

Abstract:

Two approximate methods for predicting the equilibrium point of steady-state spin are presented. Firstly approximate values of state variables during steady-state spin are determined analytically by neglecting certain parameters which have trivial influence on the spin. In the second method the state variables of the equilibrium point are calculated by a digital computer by using the optimization method——DFP varying scaling method. In this way, the computing timefor digital simulation of spin motions is shortened and thus it provides convenience for the study of spin problems.
