Abstract: This paper proposes digital image processing methods of multiplying and sharping isochromatic and isoclinic fringes. Two difficult technical problems in engineering application(indistinct isoclinic fringe and rare isochromatic fringe)have been well solved. Typical stress analysis examples are illustrated. The accuracy is satisfactory.
