Abstract:

For the problem of scrap of failure parts existing widely during the mission, an approximate evaluation method for availability of multi-echelon multi-indenture aviation equipment is proposed. Repairable spares with scrap are converted to non-repairable spares by omitting repair and transportation time. The spares are then assigned from the rear support center to the flight base and are converted from lower in to higher indenture successively, so that the multi-echelon multi-indenture spare model is converted into the single-echelon single-indenture ones. The availability of the whole support system is obtained based on the additive property of Gamma distribution. A comparison of the actual example with the simulation results shows that the approximate algorithm can be of high precision when the values of repair and transportation time are not too great or the spares of the flight base are sufficient.
