Single data set-STAP algorithm in heterogeneous environment

Abstract:

This paper describes the single data set space-time adaptive processing (SDS-STAP) algorithms for airborne radar in heterogeneous environment. For the problems of the present SDS-STAP algorithms, a two-dimensional amplitude and phase estimation (2D-APES) algorithm is proposed based on sliding windows in space-time of the cell under test. The proposed algorithm utilizes the statistical information of the echo, not only broadens the restrictions for the selection of the element and pluse numbers of the radar system, but also suppresses the clutter and the interferences of the cell under test effectively; what's more, it has a low computational complexity. Finally, simulated and real test data verify the validity of the proposed algorithm.
