Abstract: Through a series of experiments on metal rubber components, the influence of the relative parameters such as frequency, formation thickness, formation density, amplitude and precompression (initial displacement) on hysteresis is studied. The parameters such as formation thickness, formation density, amplitude and precompression (initial displacement) have influence on hysteresis, and with the increase of these parameters, metal rubber components have better damping characteristic, while frequency has little influence on hysteresis. The performance of metal rubber damper under random vibration is researched too. Results show that the efficiency of metal rubber damper can reach 63.47%, and the efficiency ε of vibration separation increases with prompting boosting up.

Key words: metal rubber, damper, damping, hysteresis characteristic, efficiency of vibration separation
