Abstract: T he turbulence model Shih??Lumley ( S-L) is applied to compute full N-S equatio ns. The model Jones??Launder ( J-L) is also employed for comparison. When the flow is att ached, the averaged flow fields both modelsconform to the exper iment results. But, after t he separ at ion occurs, structures of separation computed on bo th mod??els dev iate from the ex periment r esults to var ious degr ees. The difference of J-L model is bigg er . The r esulting lowon J-L model yields no secondar y separation line and thus differs appreciably from the exper iment results. The mainsepar at ion str uctures of skin fr ict ion lines computed on S??L model conform better to the experiment results, and thedistr ibut ion of coefficients of wall pressure is co nsistent with ex periment qualitatively , moreov er there appears small??scale separated??reattached structures appear in the near w all region.
