Abstract: A specical smoke-generator and a ball bearing-support system were used in order to visualize the wake of rotating elevator. The wake flow patterns were photographed and videotaped. According to the detailed study, it was shown that at low angles of attack the effect of the rotating wake on the tail was not important, but the interference between rotating wake and tail become quite complex as the angle of attack increased.
