Abstract: This paper discusses the conventional aircrafts and their control systems against vertical gust. Then, the design of direct lift control systems against vertical gust is introduced in which the state feedback control is used for eigenstructure assignment in discrete time domain. The airplane with the controller could effectively alleviate the disturbance of vertical gust.
