Abstract: This paper gives a comprehensive introduction and review of the models for predicting fatigue crack growth under spectrum loadings. The schematic, characteristic parameters, governing equations and strong and weak. points of the load interaction models, which are presented typically hy the specialists of various countries in over ten years, are summarized and compared in tabular form. In addition, the selective principle, predictive accuracy and computation. cost of the models are discussed..In the view of engineering applications, Willenborg/Chang model provides an effective method for predicting fatigue crack growth under complex spectrum loadings. and some models developed by Chinese specialists are rather simple and efficacious. It is worth noting that further research in this field should be performed experimentally and analytically.
