THE FAILURE THRESHOLD SELECTION IN FAULT DETECTION OF REDUNDANT CONTROL SYSTEMS

Abstract:

An analytical method to determine the failure threshold in fault detection algorithm of redundant systems is presented and discussed. Based on the qualities of monitor and control system, two kinds of cost function are constructed respectively to calculate the threshold. The method is verified by an example and the results have proved that this method is both simple and effective. The threshold computed value can be used as a reference in the real circumstance and some conclusions derived can also serve as the direction to the real work.
