Abstract: An effective simulation algorithm for computing the reliability of n∶k cross strapping standby systems with any component reliability is presented. The algorithm estimates both the reliability of the system and the associated uncertainty (error). A complete interpretation of the algorithm results is given through a detailed error analysis.
