Abstract: A model of smart composite material structure embedded with shape memory alloy slims as smart actuator is established, with which the distortion of this structure is gained. A differential form of the SMA(Shap Memory Alloy) constitutive relations is derived, and the relationship between stress and strain is obtained at different temperatures by numerical method. The flexible discount of the interface is taken into account. The actuator is bonded to its surface or embedded within the laminate, and the temperature of which is obtained by measuring its resistance. The result of actuating of computing model is well with that of experiment. The vibration characteristic of the smart structure is measured to obtain the variety of model frequency at different temperatures.
