Abstract:

The mechanisms of mapping between product design, process planning, and tooling design are studied to improve the efficiency and response speed of aircraft collaborative design for an aircraft manufacturing enterprise. Firstly, according to enterprise demand, information constitutions of product design domain, process planning domain, and tooling design domain are defined. Secondly, organic connections between the three are built, and a hierarchical mapping model based on polychromatic sets is constructed. Then, the modeling principle and flow of the model are given, thus the mapping in feature from product design to tooling concept design is realized. Finally, related design software is developed and applied to the assembly process planning and tooling concept design of a cabin door frame, which establishes the theoretical and practical foundation for the integration of the three in an aircraft manufacturing enterprise.
