Abstract: The bifurcation analysis and catastrophe theory methodology-fuzzy logic control(BACTM-FLC) method is developed from bifurcation analysis and catastrophe theory methodology and fuzzy logic control. It integrates the analysis of nonlinear dynamics and the design of fuzzy control law at high-angle-of-attack of aircraft. After the nonlinear dynamical characteristic analysis and prediction of a big sweepback delta wing by BACTM, a fuzzy controller is designed to suppress the wing-rock and its control efficiency is also estimated by BACTM.Finally, the prediction and design results are validated by the numerical simulations. It turns out that BACTM-FLC is able to effectively predict and control the global nonlinear dynamical characteristics of aircraft at high-angle-of-attack.
