Abstract: On the basis of Embedded Operating System, an electronic flight instrument system (EFIS) software is designed and implemented. The main structure of EFIS is introduced. To give pilot complete, accurate and real-time information, a number of display modes are designed, such as the Primary Flight Display Mode, the Navigation Display Mode and the Engine Information Display Mode. The design rules and the structure of the EFIS software are analyzed. The class and message mechanism of the software are introduced. Besides, by making reasonable tradeoff between the limited resource of embedded system and the complicated algorithm of three-dimensional processing, an effective three-dimensional engine is designed and implemented. The space transform algorithm and the hidden lines removal algorithm of the three-dimensional engine are described. The software is downloaded successfully and run stably on a variety of embedded platforms.
