Abstract: The behaviors of microbiologically induced corrosion of LC4 aluminum alloy in 3.5%NaCl solutions with and without sulfate-reducing bacteria(SRB) under anaerobic conditions were investigated by using electrochemical polarization and surface analysis. It was found that the SRB could reduce the pitting corrosion on the surface of LC4 aluminum alloy. At the same time, the corrosion attack of LC4 aluminum alloy was accelerated by SRB. The corrosion of LC4 aluminum alloy in the environment containing SRB was pitting. The efficiencies of inhibition and sterilization of four inhibitors(BHA-1,BHA-2,BHA-3,1227), were researched for LC4 alloy corrosion in solutions containing SRB. It was demonstrated that the inhibitors had the double function of inhibition-sterilization, and they changed the growth processes of SRB. One of them, BHA-2 gave the best result of inhibition and sterilization, and its efficiency of inhibition-sterilization was better than that of 1227 bactericide, which was usually used to inhibit the corrosion caused by SRB. When BHA-2 was added only to 30×10\+\{-5\}, it could inhibit the action of SRB.
