AERODYNAMIC FORCES AND BLADE FLAPPING MOTION OF A ROTOR IN FORWARD FLIGHT WITH GROUND EFFECTS

Abstract:

Based on the previous computation for a rotor flow field in forward flight near ground, the thrust coefficient, torque coefficient and blade flapping angles are calculated and analysed against the advance ratios and flight heights. The results show that the ground effects play a very important role in the thrust coefficient and blade lateral tilt angle.
