Abstract:

To cope with the shortages of matrix game, mathematical models of quasi proportional guidance and optimal heading vector are constructed, which are used successfully in multiple aircraft air to air combat simulation. Numerical examples illustrate that the introduction of the later two ways leads to a significant decrease in the implementational burden, and retrieves some defects of the matrix game. Since the two new ways also have their shortcomings, the merits of many guidances should be synthesized to increase the effectiveness of a fighter.

Key words: maneuvering decision, optimal heading vector, matrixgame, quasi-proportional guidance
