Abstract:

By deep research on NURBS modelling method, a new modelling function in NURBS for skinning surface bidirectional interpolating via complex curves is realized in SuperMan CAD/CAM integrated system, completely based on NURBS method. Various examples coming from engineering applications show that the new method is flexible and effective, which can meet the needs of product design and manufacture with complex forms.
