Abstract: The adhesive bonded joints in which the adherends have different Young’s modulus and/or different thickness are analysed.The differential equations of adhesive stresses based on G-R’s theory are given and the adhesive stress distributions of unbalanced joints are obtained and analvsed.In addition, the eHects of adherends stiffness imbalance on the adhesive stress distributions are discussed.
