RESEARCHING OF SiCp

Abstract: The forming process of SiC particle reinforced aluminium alloys was studied.With theultrasonic inert gas atomization technique aluminium powders were made. A fter mixing with SiCparticle, vacuum degassing and hot pressing,the extrusion was conducted.The mechanical prop-erties of the composite with different percentage SiC particles were evaluated.The room tempera-ture tensile strength of the composite with 20% SiC is 594 MPa and the elongation is 6%,Themaximum strengths at 200℃ and 3 15℃ are 493MPa and 299MP a respectively.The mopohology of the alloy powders and the fracture surface were analyzed with SEM.Tensile tests were performed in MTS-880 and AG-5000A.
