Abstract: The bistatic system considered in this paper consists of one transmitter and one receiver at different sites, in which the transmitter only emits radar signal, and the receiver measures range sum. a/imuth and elevation angles. The target location method and position errors are analyzed. By analyzing the region distribution of targer position accuracy in the controlled airspace, the location characteristics of the bistatic system are found. The location problem for netted bislatie systems is discussed, and the algorithm WLS (Weighted Least Squaer) is used for data fusion. It is shown that position creation accurary is improved greatly in the netted bistatic systems.
