FLIGHT CONTROL DESIGN USING EXTENDED LINEARIZATION OF NONLINEAR SYSTEMS

Abstract: The extended linearization of nonlinear systems is used to design flight control systems at high angle of attack. The dynamic system is linearized at all constant operating points: the linearized system is assigned the same poles and a nonlinear control law is obtained by the integration of the linear feedback gain matrix. The closed loop handling quality is evaluated by the equivalent system method. The simulation shows that the stall angle of attack of the aircraft is increased and the handling quality is satisfactory.
