Abstract: Following ihe securing of spectrum characteristics of signals by analyzing the signals of acoustic emissions produced during the process of tool failure in drilling, turning, and boring operations. this paper establishes the mathematical model describing the form of tool breakage and wear. Based on analysis and experimental results, an intelligent monitor system has been designed for the tool conditions. The resolution of area of tool breakage is 0.01mm2. The response time of tool breakage is less than 0.1ms. Percentage of escapes and mistakes on report is less than 5%. After tests in experimental and production environments this system is proved practical and advanced.
