Abstract: Using Faber series expansion technique and the method of three complex potential function in the plane theory of thermoelasticity of an anisotropic body, the general step to de-duce the thermostress concentration in an anisotropic plate weakened by two elliptical holes subjected to arbitrary mechanical and thermal loads is obtained. Numerical results show that the method is very effective. Compared with finite element technique, the method in this paper presents a lot of advantages, especially in discussing effects of various design parameters. These cffects on thermostress concentration are studied in detail and many important conclusions are drawn.
