ANTI-FATIGUE OPTIMIZATION DESIGN BY ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE STRATEGY

Abstract: The artificial intelligence strategy is applied to the optimum anti-fatigue design of structural details. A set of approaches quite different from the traditional mathematical programming method is put forward. By setting up a state space of discrete design variables, to, which the intelligence search strategy is applied, the integralization of discrete variables can be avoided. A lot of practical experience of the experts has been collected in making the search strategy so as to make the search process simple, fast and the results of the optimum design reliable. An example of optimum anti-fatigue design for a typical structure detail of aircraft is worked out using the present method. Comparison between the results obtained by this method and that by the mathematical programming m ethod shows that the present method is better. Verification experiments conducted bv the author show that the method proposed is feasible and reliable.
