Abstract: Missiles suspended at highly sweptback wing tip are very sensitive to external interference, which often creates over-loading to the missiles. This case should be accounted for in the design of wing tip and its external stores. This paper introduces how the missiles response to wake, gust, unsteady airflow, landing collision, large indicated airspeed at low altitude, over loading, acrobatic flight, ceiling and big Mach number at level flight etc. and provides measured data and analyses monitoring results. These are probably valuable references for aircraft design.

Key words: highly sweptback wing, wing tip missile, dynamic re-sponse, data measured in the air
