Abstract:

For enhancing the reliability and durability and diminishing direct operating cost of gas turbine engines, a new system, called engine condition monitoring and fault diagnostic system has been developed. Extensive experimental research and application experiences verfied its effectiveness. Now this system has been widely used on aero-angines, industrial gas turbine engines and vehicular turbine engines. The function and technical requirements of this system are introduced. Attentions are paid on the priciple and application of gas-path analysis, vibration monitoring and oil analysis, which are commonly used to compose a gas turbine engine condition monitoring and fault diagnostic system. The problems which need to be solved in the future development are also discussed.
