Abstract: The development history of airframe durability requirements in China and abroad is reviewed in this paper.Emphasis is given to a survey of the basic ideas, characteristics, wide application field and a variety of objectives and integrity systems of durability design in the new durability requirements. Two kinds of durability analysis approach and the distinguishing feature of durability test are briefly presented. The relation and difference among the designs of durability, safe-life and damage tolerance are stated.
