Abstract: A design method synthesizing structural optimization and man-machine interaction is developed in this paper.The program for cylindrical shell （with internal pressure and slight coni-city） has been implemented.This program is suitable to IBM-PC microcomputer.The method can be generalized to other structures.The practical acplications indicate that this method and its program are efficient and convenient.
