Abstract: The effects of tensile prestress on low-cycle fatigue and fatigue crack growth rates for Ni-base alloy GH33A used to turbine engine disks were investigated at 360℃. The experimental results show that the low-cycle fatigue crack initiation life Ni will be increased by prestressing treatment within the range of low-cycle fatigue life 104~ 5×104, but the effect of prestress on fatigue crack propagation life Np is not obvious,
