Abstract: The fault information of equipment is an important resource of the aeronautical maintenance management system. In this paper,the properties of the fault information are analysed in respect to statistical, semantic and effective informations, and the main problem as well as suggestions for improvement in the exploration and application of the fault information resource are also discussed
