Abstract: The advantages and importance of on-ground flight simulator has been constantly concerned about. In this paper, at first the main parts of an airplane on-ground flight simulator and the important role played by this simulator in training pilots and developing new airplane are briefly recommended.Then the developing history of on-ground flight simulator is recalled and its present status is described. At Iast, the future directions of this simulator are provided.
