Abstract: The analysis of stresses around a pin-loaded hole in composite laminate is a important problem. For solving this problem a new model is presented in this paper and, by using the theory of elasti city, the analytical formulae for calculating the stresses and displacements of the pin have been established. Finally, the formulae presented here ar e applied to some particular pins and the results of calculation are compared with those o-btained by FEM. It is found that the agreement between them is quite well.
