Abstract:

The microstructure and phase composition of Graphite-Aluminium（Gr/ At） composite were studied with transmission electron microscopy, scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffrac tion methods. There exists a transition layer at graphite fibre-aluminium alloy interface, which consists mainly of TiB2 phase. The effect of microstructure on mechanical properties of Gr/Al composite was discussed.
