Abstract: The Turbulence Control Screen (TCS), being a necessary facility for acoustic testing of fans, will cause transmission loss when the noise propagates to the far field. The noise can be corrected through calibration of TCS. Based on practical engineering application conditions, this paper examines factors influencing the calibration, such as acoustic source deviation and temperature and humidity modifications. According to the above factors, characteristics of TCS calibration from 160 Hz to 40 kHz are analyzed, announcements in practical engineering applications summarized, and the uncertainty of TCS calibration presented.
