Numerical Simulation of Deceleration Performance of Ejection Seat

Abstract: Deceleration performance is an important performance of ejection seat,whose evaluation is coarse till now and can be estimated,only according to the ground ejection experiment or experience.In this paper a numerical simulation approach based on CFD and matlab simulink,is presented to simulate the ejection process of ejection seat and achieving its deceleration performance.The 6 degree of freedom (6DOF) equations are solved after achieving the aerodynamic coefficients of ejection seat.The average difference of the results compared with the experiment data is less than 5% and in the range of permission.
