Abstract: Aiming at the shortcomings of traditional Logic-Based approach for track initiation, two approaches based on One-step delay and Multi-hypothesis principle are developed respectively. In the former one, two scan measurements are used to extend the candidate track uniquely. As a result, the performance for track initiation is insured, and the memory requirement is lowered efficiently. In the latter one, the multiple feasible hypotheses are obtained by separating the association matrix. Furthermore, the original hypothesis is extended and split. As a result, there are no common measurements among the extended measurement sequences from the different candidate targets. The simulation results indicate that the presented approaches perform well.
