Abstract: The ball-end milling process is used widely in the machining of free-form surfaees in the aerospace and die / mold industries.Firstly,the type of cutting edges and rake faees of ball-end mills is presented with enough good cutting condition,Secondly,ways are studied to deteimine the motion function of grinding(or milling)system when the edges and rake faces of mills are foimed with a taper cup wheel.Lastly,an example showing a mills parameters and motion functions is given.
